Almost every season of Outlander has had at least a week break between episodes. That’s the case for Outlander Season 6 too. This time, it’s in April 2022.
If you look back at all seasons of Outlander, only one season hasn’t had a break during the season run. That season was Season 4. All other seasons have seen at least one week off, with Season 1 seeing a six-month break due to the way the 16-episode season was split up.
We did wonder if the sixth season would also see a week off. That has recently been confirmed with most of the April schedule now available on the STARZ website. There is going to be a week off next month.
When is Outlander Season 6 taking a break in April?
The week off is going to be on Sunday, April 17. This is for a very understandable reason.
April 17 is Easter Sunday. This is a weekend when a lot of people will travel to see family, especially this year. People have spent the last two years not really getting the chance to travel and see family. They’ll want to spend Easter together.
While there isn’t a risk for advertisers like the broadcast networks will face, STARZ will still want to give all its shows a good chance on Easter Sunday. Instead of airing a new episode, all shows are taking a break.
The bad news is there won’t be a rerun on this weekend. Power Book IV is taking over the 9 p.m. timeslot with a rerun instead, and that will run into a rerun of Shining Vale on the channel. Of course, there is some good news for those with the STARZ App. You can watch whichever episodes you want!
The week off means that we now know when the Outlander Season 6 finale will air. After all, we’re only expecting the show to take one week off. We’ll see the finale air on Sunday, May 1. This is an extra special day for Outlander fans considering it’s Beltane. Make sure you stay away from the stones until you get a chance to watch the episode!
