Jamie looks for a way to find peace in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2. Here’s a look at his three top moments throughout the episode.
There were some excellent moments throughout Outlander Season 6, Episode 2 for all our returning characters. Even some of the new players had some great moments that will always stand out.
Jamie had two main jobs this episode. The first was to act as Indian Agent, which involved him seeing the Cherokee and relaying their needs to Major MacDonald. The other was to find a way to gain some sort of peace on the Ridge. He needed to make it clear to Tom Christie how is boss at Fraser’s Ridge.
3 best Jamie moments from Outlander Season 6, Episode 2
Jamie certainly had some standout moments. Some were on the hilarious side, while others were far more serious. Let’s take a look at our top three moments in the episode.
His reaction to the women
There were always going to be moments from the book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, that fans would have to see. These are often smaller moments that bring humor and personality for the characters. There have been a few of those moments that made it to Outlander Season 6, Episode 2.
The first moment was Jamie’s reaction to the women in his bed. When he goes to see Bird, Bird offers some of his women as a welcome gift. However, Jamie very quickly chooses not to accept, refusing to sleep with someone other than Claire.
What’s even better is his reaction when he gets back to Claire. He needs her after the women, and Claire has no idea why.
His hesitation over the guns
Bird wants one thing from the Crown. He wants guns. And you can’t really blame him when there’s so much going on in the colony. This is a little different to the book, but nothing too bad. What we do get to see is Jamie’s initial hesitation.
Jamie knows what’s coming. He also knows how Bird asking for guns will look. And he has some sort of idea of what’s to come for the Cherokee and other Native American tribes. However, Young Ian is the one who gets more of the details from Brianna.
It’s Young Ian who takes the time to stand up for the Cherokee. This encourages Jamie to reconsider his hesitation, and I love that we get a similarity to Outlander Season 5. It was Young Ian’s words who helped to encourage Jamie to go through with leg amputation if necessary to save his life. This time, Young Ian gets Jamie to reconsider asking for guns for the Cherokee.
Encouraging a meeting place
Jamie needs to figure out a way for the Ridge to live peacefully in Outlander Season 6, Episode 2. Tom is a threat, especially with the new tenants who are all Protestants. Jamie doesn’t want a repeat of Ardsmuir.
He tries to make it clear that at the Ridge it’s his law. However, that doesn’t quite work out fully, so Jamie finds another way.
As Tom builds his church, Jamie suggests that it becomes a meeting place for all. That includes his wife, who some new tenants are fearful of, especially after THAT funeral! Jamie knows that it was the freemason way that brought some peace at Ardsmuir, and that’s the way to do it at the Ridge.
