There are still a few questions left over from A Discovery of Witches. Will we get any answers tonight, Saturday, Feb. 26?

We have some bad news for all A Discovery of Witches fans. There isn’t going to be a new episode on this weekend.

In fact, that’s it. We’re not going to get another new episode of the series. Not only was last week’s episode the Season 3 finale, but it was also the series finale. Sadly, that means some of the questions we have left over are just going to be hanging unless there are some spin-off shows. We’d certainly be down for a Gallowglass spin-off.

Why isn’t a new episode of A Discovery of Witches on tonight?

There were only seven episodes filmed for Season 3. This was down from 10 episodes in the first season and eight episodes in the second season. It’s not clear why there were only seven episodes as we could have done with one more to avoid rushing the story at the very end.

However, that’s the way it was planned. We have now go to the end of the All Souls trilogy adaptation. This is how Diana and Matthew’s story comes to an end.

At least there was some good news for some of the characters. Diana proved why daemons are needed, but also why they’re getting sick. She also proved why witches are losing their powers and vampires are suffering from blood rage. It turns out that all magical creatures and the humans need to work together for the survival of all four species.

You can now binge-watch all three seasons of the series. It’s worth going back to the beginning and seeing how everything connects together from start to finish.
