Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There are a couple of elements of foreshadowing in this chapter. The first is Roger. He hasn’t found his calling yet, but people are finding it for him. They’re turning to him as a minister, and it’s no wonder Tom encourages Roger to go for this.

We’ll get a chance to see Roger figure out what he’s going to do over the next few chapters. We’re getting to a point of the church being built.

Another element of foreshadowing is the matches. Brianna has made them and they’re being used by Claire and a few others. However, there is some bad news that’s to come. It’s the matches that connect to the Big House.

Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter

The chapter hasn’t been used in the series just yet. It is likely to be used in Outlander Season 6 in some sort of way. We’ll need to see Roger find his calling as a minister since we know that the church is going to happen.

We’ll also get something with the matches. We have seen in the promo that Brianna will make the matches. It is a major part of her development as an engineer. They’re likely to still play a part in the Big House going on fire. After all, we need that fire, right? And we need to see Donner return.
