Outlander Season 6 is not coming to STARZ in February 2022

We were all hoping that Outlander Season 6 would arrive in time for Valentine’s Day. That’s not going to be the case. We’re still waiting for the season.

When we learned the season would arrive at the start of 2022, Sam Heughan mentioned February on social media. That quickly led to the speculation that Outlander Season 6 would arrive in time for Valentine’s Day.

That’s not the case. We’ve double-checked the list of STARZ releases in February just in case, but the show is not on the list. That’s not all too surprising, though. After all, we now know when the season will premiere on STARZ.

Outlander Season 6 premiere date on STARZ

We will get the season in early 2022, but it’s not going to be in February. Instead, Outlander Season 6 will premiere on Sunday, March 6.

This is a series that gets a weekly release. It doesn’t matter if you watch via the STARZ App or if you have the channel through your cable provider. The only difference between these two is the time you’ll get to watch the episodes. You can join those watching at midnight if you have the STARZ App.

We’ll get to see the Christies show up at the Ridge during the season. That leads to tensions between Jamie and Tom, the head of the household, two men who didn’t get along while at Ardsmuir.

Outlander Season 6 is going to be the shortest season so far. This was due to two reasons. The official one given was the pandemic, which meant that filming scenes took longer than normal. The other reason was Caitriona Balfe’s pregnancy, which couldn’t be written into the series.

The four episodes that were supposed to be part of Season 6 are being moved to the seventh season. Outlander Season 7 will now be 16 episodes instead of just 12.
