Go Tell the Bees spoilers: Do Fergus and Marsali have another child?
Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone is out, and now we get to break down how the family has grown. Did Fergus and Marsali have another child?
When it comes to couples we’re rooting for in the world of Outlander, Fergus and Marsali are high on the list. They have been through a harrowing journey over the course of the last few books, with the death of Henri-Christian as a huge moment.
The death of a child can be enough to put many off from trying again. However, that wasn’t the way of the past with infant mortality rates being so high. So, would Fergus and Marsali try for more children? Was their life away from the Ridge a better time for them to be a family and help Fergus really find a purpose in life?
Fergus and Marsali’s children in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone
Fergus and Marsali do have another child during the ninth book. In fact, they have two more children! It’s always been clear that the two of them enjoy being parents, even if they sometimes struggle with the life it brings. It shouldn’t be all that surprising to find out that they have two more children during the late 1770s.
Marsali has given birth to Alexandre Fraser and Charles-Claire Fraser. You can see who they are both named for within their names there, albeit the French versions of the names. It’s so perfect for the couple.
It’s worth remembering that they only have their two daughters with them now. Germaine moved back to Fraser Ridge to live with Claire and Jamie at the end of A Breath of Snow and Ashes, which is where he is during Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. The girls will be old enough to start helping Marsali around the house, too, which will make having two more bairns in the house easier.
