There’s no doubt that we’re looking forward to seeing Outlander Season 6. There’s still a wait on our hands, though. It’s not coming in November.
Season 4 may have had a November premiere date, but Outlander Season 6 certainly doesn’t. The show is not heading to STARZ next month.
If we’re honest, that’s not surprising. The show has already shared that it’s arriving in “early 2022.” We even have the suspicion that it’s coming in February 2022 thanks to a comment Sam Heughan made.
We do know that it’s going to be released weekly like all STARZ shows. There are only eight episodes, though, so we’re looking at the finale to be some time in April 2022.
What is Outlander Season 6 about?
Outlander Season 6 picks up after the events of the fifth season. The family is reeling from the things that happened to Claire.
Marsali made the decision to kill to protect her “Ma,” but that decision has consequences. She will wonder whether her fourth child is going to be the consequence. At least, that’s the likely storyline to come. It’s going to be a dark journey for Marsali and Fergus during the season.
Claire will need to deal with the trauma that comes from the events, but there’s something bigger to focus on. The American Revolutionary War is coming. It’s all starting, and the Frasers and MacKenzies will need to decide when they need to switch sides without consequences.
Meanwhile, Roger and Brianna will need to find their place. The past is their home, but what will they do while they are there?
We got a snapshot of what to expect in the season during NYCC 2021. The teaser trailer was released, but it didn’t come with a premiere date. We’re sure to get a full trailer soon, and that should bring us an official premiere date.
Outlander is available to stream on STARZ. Stay tuned for the latest news on Outlander Season 6.
