What will we learn about Outlander Season 6 at NYCC 2021?

Outlander is getting a panel at NYCC 2021. While it’s mostly virtual, it is a chance to learn a little more about Outlander Season 6.

We know that the Outlander panel at NYCC 2021 is going to be very different to normal. While there is a great lineup confirmed, the majority of that lineup is virtual. That’s all because of the pandemic, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone in person again in 2022.

That being said, we’re still going to learn something about Outlander Season 6. The panel is a chance to promote the series, teasing things from the season to get fans excited about it.

Will we get a promo for Outlander Season 6 at NYCC 2021?

During NYCC 2018, we got to watch the first episode of Outlander Season 4. During NYCC 2019, we only got a promo for the fifth season. There were two differences with the timing of the seasons compared to NYCC.

2018’s panel was so close to the Season 4 premiere date that revealing the very first episode made a lot of sense. 2019’s panel was months away from the Season 5 premiere so only a promo made more sense for promotion.

We’ll probably see something similar to 2019’s panel in 2021. We’ll likely get a promo for Outlander Season 6. We may also get the opening credits to see how the theme tune has adapted slightly.

Something that we will get is a tease of what to expect. There’s a chance to find out about the season’s theme overall from Maril Davis, as well as the work that went into things behind the scenes.

With the various cast members, we’ll also get to hear teases about their characters. While Jamie and Claire are certainly the biggest characters on the series, we are also interested in Brianna and Roger, Marsali and Fergus, and Young Ian.

Diana Gabaldon may also be able to give us some teases for Outlander Book 9. Sure, there are the Daily Lines for Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone but not everyone reads them. Some people just want small teases and not full sections. Some people will just want a bit of a tease before the release of the novel in November, and maybe a tease of what’s to come in Book 10.
