We all like to support the Outlander cast in their other projects. There’s a Sam Heughan movie you’ll be able to watch in just a few hours if you’re a Netflix subscriber.

If you remember back in March, Sam’s movie SAS: Red Notice was released. Now, it’s coming to Netflix tonight! But, keep a watchful eye when you’re searching for it. On Netflix, the film is called SAS: Rise of the Black Swan.

It’s not really clear why it’s being released under a different name on Netflix. It could be due to licensing or legal issues. But rest assured, it’s the same movie. And either way, it means Sam’s work gets to be put on one of the most popular streaming platforms!

SAS: Rise of the Black Swan drops on Netflix Aug. 27 at 12:01 a.m. PT.

What is SAS: Rise of the Black Swan about?

Sam plays Special Forces operator, Tom Buckingham. He takes his girlfriend Dr. Sophie Hart on a train trip to Paris so he can propose to her. Of course, there’s an obstacle that comes up for our hero. A group of mercenaries led by Grace Lewis hijacks the train they’re on, holding the passengers hostage. Tom is able to get off the train and has to use his skills to save the passengers, including Sophie.

This film certainly is action-packed. I’m personally not a big fan of action movies, but when I saw Sam was a part of it and was going to be the leading man I just had to watch it! If you’re like me, I do think it’s worth a watch and you’ll enjoy it. There are some twists in the story and surprises with the characters. And I’ll be honest, it is fun to see Sam play such a different character from Jamie!
