If you’re looking for something to watch during Droughtlander, PBS Masterpiece has some great options. Grantchester Season 6 is one show coming soon.

Grantchester is a great option during Droughtlander for a few reasons. The biggest is that Tom Brittney is one of the lead actors on the series. You’ll know him best as Lieutenant Jeremy Foster on Outlander, a character created purely for the show but reminded us that not all British Army officers were all that awful.

The series is in Season 6, and has a seventh season confirmed. In fact, Season 7 is currently filming, with Brittney directing an episode.

The good news is Granchester Season 6 is going to arrive in time to help us get through a bit more of Droughtlander. It’s also a weekly release, which further helps us get through some of Droughtlander. Here’s everything we know about the release so far.

Granchester Season 6 premiere date

There’s still a bit of a wait, but not too long. The series is part of the fall schedule. Get ready for Sunday, Oct. 3. It’ll air at 9/8c, as usual.

The series is on PBS Masterpiece, which you can get through your cable provider. You can also get it as a subscription service through Amazon Channels.

Tom Brittney will return as Reverand Will Davenport. He joins Robson Green, who has been the lead from the very beginning of the series. He plays DI Georgie Keating, a WWII veteran.

Granchester Season 6 synopsis

The season is going to see the characters go through some difficult moments. One of those is for Leonard, who will end up in some dark places. Then we’ll see Geordie and Will go down a destructive path together.

As something affects one character, it’s going to affect all the others. And of course, there are the murders that will need to be solved.
