Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. The ending is the biggest moment, and that’s all about plot development. It was always clear that the Betty situation would come back up. We can’t have the mystery of who poisoned her to never come back up.

However, plot development and foreshadowing aren’t quite the same thing.

Adapting The Fiery Cross chapter

The chapter wasn’t used all that much in Outlander Season 5, but it was used a bit. The moment in the stables was the part that was used, but there were some substantial changes.

For book readers, the moment in Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 didn’t work. There were some flaws with the camera angles chosen, but I didn’t find it as problematic as everyone else did. For me, it worked for the moment of the episode.

Claire was already in the stables at the time. Remember, we didn’t get the moment with Jamie coming into the room while she slept.

The moment was just after cards and Jamie was clearly drunk. This was angry sex between the two of them, giving them a chance to make up before moving onto the next part of the story.
