Droughtlander suggestions: Graham McTavish is in Blood Red Sky
Looking for something a little different to get through Droughtlander? Outlander’s Graham McTavish is in Blood Red Sky on Netflix.
Sometimes, it’s not the genre of the movie or TV show that draws your attention to it. A lot of the time, it’s going to be the cast list. When looking for something to get through Droughtlander, you may just turn to where the Outlander cast is now rather than the genre.
Blood Red Sky is what you get when you opt for following the cast. Graham McTavish is in the movie, popping up in the beginning as the man in charge. As a plane that has been taken over by terrorists lands, he’s the one who has to figure out the truth.
However, this is nothing like Outlander. It’s a fantasy plane hijacking movie that is sure to keep the adrenaline pumping.
What is Blood Red Sky about?
The movie follows a flight going from Germany to New York. On that flight is a young boy and his mom, and it turns out they’re heading to New York to see a special doctor. That doctor is going to help the boy’s mom, Nadia, with a rare blood condition.
On the way, the plane is hijacked by a group of terrorists. When they kill Nadia as she tries to protect her son, they think that threat is over. However, it turns out that there’s a much bigger threat now on the plane.
Why watch the movie during Droughtlander
Admittedly, this is nothing like Outlander. For those who are looking for something just a little (or a lot) different to the series will want to watch this movie.
The biggest reason to watch is purely to see Graham McTavish in another role. He’s only in about 30 minutes of the movie in total, but it’s a good chance to see him do something different.
The movie itself is also pretty good. There are elements that you won’t see coming at all, and you’ll be left wondering just how it could all end and whether there is hope for Nadia and her son.
Blood Red Sky is now streaming on Netflix.
