Outlander Season 5 is not coming to Netflix in July 2021

If you were hoping to binge-watch all 12 episodes of Outlander Season 5 on Netflix soon, you’ll be disappointed. It’s not coming to Netflix in July 2021.

While Outlander Season 5 is available to stream on STARZ, not everyone wants to get all the streaming platforms out there. You have Netflix, and that’s where you’d prefer to watch everything.

The first four seasons of the time-traveling period drama are currently on Netflix. Naturally, you want to be able to see the fifth season. And many of you will want it now.

Netflix’s list of releases for July 2021 is available. We’ve checked it a few times, but Outlander Season 5 isn’t on the list just yet.

Outlander Season 5 on Netflix release date

To be honest, we didn’t expect Outlander Season 5 to come to Netflix in July 2021. It is too early for the season to drop on the streaming platform.

Based on the release of both Seasons 3 and 4 on Netflix, we’re looking at two years from the season finales airing on STARZ. That means we’re not expecting Outlander Season 5 to come to Netflix until May 2022.

That seems like it’s far away. To be honest, you’re going to want to watch the season on STARZ if you haven’t already. The sixth season will be on STARZ before the fifth season comes to Netflix. Plans are to release Outlander Season 6 in early 2022, and we’re looking at February 2022.

Season 5 is worth getting STARZ for. It’s one of my favorite seasons, focusing on the times changing in the Colonies. Jamie and Murtagh find themselves on the opposite side of a war, a war that Jamie knows he eventually needs to switch sides for. Meanwhile, Roger and Brianna need to find their place in the past, while Young Ian returns from the Mohawks with secrets.
