Podcasts are becoming a big thing, and Richard Rankin features in a new one. That podcast will be focused on St. Kilda, Scotland, and is titled Atlantic: A Scottish Story.

The name of the place will sound familiar but it’s not the same as the one in the Outlander books. The podcast is about the forgotten island, which has laid deserted since 1930.

There have been many stories told since islanders left their home. The podcast tells the story of two young islanders on their journey across the sea. The two make various choices on their journey, leading to different lives.

Throughout the episodes, we follow various themes. Some of them are themes we’ve followed throughout Outlander, including identity, home, family, and belonging.

While the stories are based on truth, they have been fictionalized. It won’t take away from the story.
