For All Mankind Season 3 is officially happening at Apple TV+. We’ll get to see the next stage of Ron D. Moore’s story. Here’s everything we know so far.
While For All Mankind has nothing to do with Outlander, we have the connection through Ron D. Moore. The man who initially brought Outlander to life (he is still involved but not in day-to-day activities) has brought a new series to life.
He returned to sci-fi, telling a “what if” story. The show started as an alternate universe where the Soviets got the first men on the moon. What would happen to NASA after that? Would that be the end of the space race? Definitely not!
For All Mankind Season 3 is going to happen. Filming has started, and here’s everything we know about the season so far.
For All Mankind Season 3 premiere date
Apple TV+ hasn’t set a premiere date just yet. That’s not surprising since filming only started back in February 2021. It takes time to film a series like this, and then there’s the post-production work that’s still to come.
Season 1 premiered in November 2019 but we had to wait until February 2021 for Season 2. While part of that was due to the pandemic, it was also about the time we expected the season to premiere. We’re probably looking at April 2022 at the very earliest for Season 3, but we could have to wait for the summer depending on how long filming and post-production take.
There are still COVID protocols that lead to filming taking longer than normal.
For All Mankind Season 3 cast
Who will return for the third season? We’re certainly looking at the return of:
- Joel Kinnaman as Ed Baldwin
- Shantel VanSanten as Karen Baldwin
- Jodi Balfour as Ellen Wilson
- Wrenn Schmidt as Margo Madison
Their characters will need to be aged up, but Outlander has shown that’s possible. We’re also expecting the following to return:
- Coral Peña as Aleida Rosales
- Casey W. Johnson as Danny Stevens
- Cynthy Wu as Kelly Baldwin
Who won’t return? It’s going to be difficult to bring Michael Dorman and Sarah Jones back. While this is an alternate world, it’s not a fantasy one. The two characters sacrificed themselves during For All Mankind Season 2, so we shouldn’t expect them back in Season 3 unless it’s through flashbacks.
For All Mankind Season 3 trailer
There isn’t a trailer just yet. That’s not surprising since filming only started a few months ago. We’re not expecting a trailer until much closer to the premiere date, and we’ll bring it as soon as it’s available.
For All Mankind Season 3 synopsis
There isn’t a synopsis for the season, but we do know that there is likely to be another time jump. The second season ended with a pair of boots landing on Mars in 1995. Who do the boots belong to? That’s something we’ll need to wait and see.
One thing is clear. The Cold War is still going on. What could bring this to an end?
For All Mankind is available to stream on Apple TV+.
