For five episodes, we’ve had hints of Amalia’s true identity. She is not the woman who threw herself in the water just before people became Touched. This is someone who has more than one Touched ability, and she is clearly linked to whatever it was that came down and gave people their abilities.
All she knows is that she was left behind. At least, that’s what she’s felt. It turned out in Episode 4 that wasn’t the case at all. Someone got a message to her to say that something went wrong but she wasn’t alone in the world.
Now it’s time for Amalia to figure out what went wrong, and that means the origin story. Just who is Amalia really, and what does it mean for her relationship with everyone else around her?
What is the Orphans’ mission on The Nevers Season 1, Episode 6
Expect this episode to be a big one. It’s the midseason finale.
When The Nevers Season 1 was ordered, it came with 12 episodes. However, the change of showrunner partway through and the pandemic have meant filming delays. The second half of the season isn’t coming for a while (and we don’t have an exact date), but this episode is sure to leave us on a major cliffhanger.
That cliffhanger could be linked to the Orphans’ mission. And it looks like that mission is linked to the doctor who has been doing brain surgery on the Touched to get their abilities…or whatever it is he’s been doing!
Amalia is about to find out that Lavinia isn’t everything she claims to be. Will the others learn the truth too?
