Outlander Season 6 titles revealed for four episodes
Four of the episode titles of Outlander Season 6 are out. What are they going to be and what could they mean for the episodes?
I’ll start this post by saying that the titles for Outlander Season 6 have not officially come from STARZ. Spoiler TV has the titles, and I’ve seen other sites post the titles with some differences.
Differences aren’t uncommon at this point. We’re not going to get the official titles until STARZ chooses to release them. We saw differences with Season 5 when the title of episodes ended up being mixed up slightly between sources.
However, while the titles were mixed up, they were still right. That is, the titles still happened but in a slightly different order. The only time there’s been a change to a title is in Season 3 when “Uncharted” was originally going to be titled “Turtle Soup,” but the writers thought that would be too obvious for the book fans.
That’s just something to keep in mind as we look at the four titles revealed for Outlander Season 6.
Titles for four Outlander Season 6 episodes
We start with the three that have been consistent across the sources. The Season 6 premiere is reportedly titled “Echoes,” the second episode will be titled “Allegiance,” and the third episode is titled “Temperance” at this time.
“Echoes” will be written by Matt Roberts, which makes sense for the premiere. The showrunners/main EPs usually write the first and last episodes of each season.
The first few episodes of the season are going to be to set the tone for the rest of the season. They’ll give us a chance to meet the Christies, see some changes happen on the Ridge, and get to know where the Frasers and MacKenzies are now.
The fourth title is “The World Turned Upside Down,” and book fans will immediately recognize this. It’s a title of a major chapter in A Breath of Snow and Ashes. This is where book fans are confused.
In the Spoiler TV post, the title is linked to the fourth episode. Other sources have it linked to the sixth episode. Considering the storyline of the chapter in the book, it would make more sense for it to be connected to the sixth episode. However, it is possible that the writers want to push through the Christie storyline in just four episodes.
Whichever episode it will be for, it’s written by Toni Graphia. You can expect a strong episode.
