The Nevers is HBO’s latest fantasy series starring Outlander’s Laura Donnelly. What do we know about The Nevers Season 2 so far?
As of right now, The Nevers Season 2 isn’t confirmed. The first half of Season 1 is only just airing, with the second half of the season still filming. This is one of those shows that was initially hit with pandemic delays and then it saw a change of showrunner.
It’s hard to say whether the second season will happen. While we can get some of the live ratings info for HBO shows, we don’t get to know how many people watch directly through the HBO app. And then there’s the HBO Max app too!
There is a little hope for the series, though. It currently sits between Gentleman Jack and Perry Mason in terms of the demo, both of which have been renewed, and is a little higher when looking at the audience. With hope, that means there are some good views directly on the apps.
While we don’t know a lot about the future of The Nevers just yet, this post will be updated as more information is available.
The Nevers Season 2 premiere date
We can’t make a judgment call on the premiere date just yet. The second half of Season 1 is still filming and then a renewal will be needed to even start work on Season 2. We’re probably looking at 2023 at the earliest for The Nevers Season 2.
The Nevers Season 2 cast
Laura Donnelly will likely return as Amalia True, who protects those who are Touched and has some dark secrets of her own. It’s clear that she’s far more than just a member of the Touched, and we’re starting to get a few answers here and there.
Who else will return? That’s hard to call since we have no idea how the first season is going to come to an end. We’ll update this once the first season finale has aired.

It shouldn’t be surprising to read that there isn’t a trailer just yet. This isn’t going to arrive until much closer to the second season premiere date. We’ll be sure to update when it’s available.
The Nevers Season 2 synopsis
Likewise, we don’t have a synopsis. The first season has been focused on the Touched against the Purists, and then there are a few other players involved who seem to have their own agendas but connected with the growing war in some way.
It is likely that the Touched vs. the Purists will continue throughout the series, but there will be some other threat that takes over as the main story.
