Outlander Season 6 spoilers: Who is Allan Christie in the books?
We know Allan Christie is going to be part of Outlander Season 6. It’s time to look into the book’s character to figure out what to expect.
Note: There are spoilers in this post from the books The Fiery Cross and A Breath of Snow and Ashes if you haven’t read them yet.
Allan Christie is the son of Thomas Christie and half-brother of Malva Christie. If you have heard anything about the Christie family it’s that they cause trouble for Jamie and the rest of the Frasers and MacKenzies.
Allan will be played by Versailles‘s Alexander Vlahos. There’s no doubt we’re excited to see what he’ll bring to the show, but what should we expect based on the books?
Who is Allan Christie in A Breath of Snow and Ashes?
Allan initially shows up in The Fiery Cross. He and his family show up at Fraser’s Ridge looking to take Jamie up on his offer to relocate there. Jamie has put out a call to all those who were at Ardsmuir, even if he didn’t necessarily like them. It’s Roger who allows them to find a place to call home.
It’s not until A Breath of Snow and Ashes that things really happen. Allan is a dangerous man, getting his half-sister pregnant and encouraging her to claim that the child’s father is actually Jamie Fraser’s. When Malva wants to come clean about the whole thing, Allan murders her.
Claire ends up mixed up in the mess. She tries to save Malva’s baby, but she ends up being accused of murder and is forced to stand trial.
Allan’s storyline comes to an end during A Breath of Snow and Ashes. He originally intends to take his own life, but someone else on the Ridge takes care of him instead. Young Ian steps in to do something that he thinks will protect his family.
It all sounds so simple, but between all the members of the Christie family, Claire and Jamie’s lives and reputations are at stake.
How much will be in Outlander Season 6?
Just how much of this storyline will be included in Outlander Season 6? I’d hazard a guess that it will take up a few episodes at the very least. This isn’t something that can be covered in just one standalone episode considering the consequences.
There’s a chance that it could take place over the course of the first half of the season, but not solely focused on this problem. It could be a storyline similar to the Regulators in the way that there are mentions and focus now and then, but there are standalone episodes for smaller storylines within A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
