Is Men in Kilts Season 1 on tonight, Sunday, April 18?

Sunday nights have been taken up by a trip around Scotland. Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish have made us laugh with Men in Kilts, but is it on tonight, Sunday, April 18?

Sadly, we’re not going on another trip around Scotland. Men in Kilts aired its first season finale last week. It was only fitting that the final episode was about Culloden, timed the weekend before the 275th anniversary.

There isn’t going to be a rerun tonight on the channel. There’s a new series taking over the 9/8c timeslot on Sundays. Confronting a Serial Killer will air in that hour slot after new episodes of The Gloaming.

Will Men in Kilts Season 2 happen?

So far, a second season hasn’t been confirmed. That doesn’t mean one won’t happen. McTavish is certainly up for another season and we’d all love to see more of the beautiful country where Outlander begins.

It’s going to be up to STARZ now. The show was originally going to be a podcast rather than a TV show. Things changed as the footage developed, and it sounded like it was just going to be a limited series. There’s always a chance that it could grow further! It is something for Droughtlander.

The problem with the series is fitting into the schedules of the co-hosts. Sam Heughan is currently busy with Outlander Season 6 and he may end up going straight into filming Outlander Season 7. We know McTavish is going to be in The Witcher Season 2. While that has finished filming, there are questions about The Witcher Season 3 if it’s picked up by Netflix.

There are ways to do the road trip around filming, but it may not be in the timeline that STARZ wants.
