Men in Kilts is coming to the UK in May 2021

Calling all those who want to see Men in Kilts in the UK. The show finally has a network and a release date. Here’s all you need to know.

Oh yes, the show that takes everyone on a trip around Scotland is finally coming to UK airwaves. Isn’t it odd how a show filmed in Scotland about Scotland airs in the U.S. first?

Anyway, Outlander‘s Sam Heughan tweeted about the UK release date. Get Sunday, May 9 in your diaries. That’s when the series will premiere.

It looks like this is going to be a weekly release, similar to the U.S. based on Radio Times‘s announcement.

Where will Men in Kilts airs in the UK?

There were initially rumors that Men in Kilts would air on Amazon Prime Video in the UK. This wasn’t all too surprising considering Amazon has the licensing rights for Outlander.

However, that’s not going to be the case. Instead, the series is heading to STARZPlay. This isn’t surprising since the show is a STARZ program in the U.S.

Fans can get STARZPlay as an add-on through Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. It is also available via Virgin Media.

What is Men in Kilts about?

If you’ve been avoiding anything about the series because of spoilers, don’t worry about that here. We’re not going to tell you what happens in every episode. However, we will give you an overview of what to expect.

Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish take us on a road trip around Scotland. Along the way, they learn more about the Scottish culture, the clans, the food and drink, and the sports. There will be many locations you’ll recognize without their names being told.
