When will Outlander Season 7 premiere on STARZ?
Now that Outlander Season 7 is officially confirmed, we can start looking at potential premiere dates. There’s nothing confirmed just yet.
It is actually way too early to talk about an Outlander Season 7 premiere date. So why are we writing this? Well, there are some people who will search for the answer. As soon as we have that answer, we’ll be sure to update this post.
For now, we can make a rough guess as to when the Season 7 premiere will be. The bad news is that there’s going to be a long wait.
Remember, we haven’t even had the sixth season yet! That’s only just started filming, and we’re looking at late 2021 at the very earliest for the season to premiere. I wouldn’t expect Outlander Season 6 until early 2022 at the earliest if I’m completely honest.
That will have a knock-on effect for the seventh season.

When could Outlander Season 7 premiere on STARZ?
It takes a good 18 months for the whole process of production to take place. The good news about the pre-production is a lot of it can take place while filming Season 6. The writers will be able to get back to work soon, working out which stories they’ll use for the seventh season.
The filming and post-production work takes about a year at least. That’s the part that can’t happen until work on Season 6 is complete—or at least, almost complete.
If filming for Season 6 doesn’t end until the end of 2021, we’re looking at 2022 for Season 7 filming to start. That means we’re looking at early 2023 as a premiere date at the very earliest.
Droughtlanders tend to be long, and this is all assuming that the pandemic doesn’t push the filming for Season 7 back. We’ll also have a better idea when we get a premiere (and finale) date for Outlander Season 6.
Outlander Season 7 is confirmed but don’t expect it before 2023.
