Outlander’s Nell Hudson’s debut novel will be published in 2022
You know Nell Hudson as Laoghaire MacKenzie on Outlander, but what about getting to know the actress a little more? It’s time to see her writing style.
The Book Seller confirms that Hudson’s debut novel has been picked up for release. We’ll just have to wait a little while before we get to read it. It’s not coming until summer 2022. We’re sure it’s going to be worth the wait.
Amy Perkins, the Tinder Press assistant editor, has preempted the novel. She concluded the world rights for the novel with Marina de Pass at The Soho Agency.
What we know about Nell Hudson’s debut novel
The Outlander and Victoria actress has been working on the novel for some time. It is called Just for Today, and focuses on a group of friends living in London. They want to live their best life, and there’s a lot of fun in this modern-day story.
However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. The friends will face tragedy and loss, and we get to see how that plays out in the novel. It’s a human story, packed with real emotion that is bound to make us cry.
The glitzy lifestyle of the friends has a dark underbelly. Hudson invites us into that through her storytelling.
According to Perkins, there is a “devastating ending.” The reader will be “floored.” What does that mean exactly? Do we really have to wait until 2022 to find out?
While we wait, Hudson has a few clues. She shares the novel is about growing up. It’s going to speak to those who have been through loss or those going through it. This isn’t just about dealing with tragedy but finding out about who a person really is afterward. It’s about the characters figuring themselves out.
