See the New Cover of ‘Outlander’ Actors Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s New Road Trip Book

Though we may know the actors Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish better as their sword fighting characters Jamie Fraser and Dougal MacKenzie, respectively, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get to know them better. The duo have decided to team up outside of their roles in Outlander for a special new book and have released the covers.

Available for pre-order now on Amazon ($24), the book Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other is the story of these two unlikely friends setting out on a road trip across their great homeland. These Scotsman visit many places Outlander fans will be very familiar with such as Culloden battlefield and Inverness. They also will be exploring the rich culture of the region through whiskey, poetry, and history.

The new covers show the two actors out in the Scottish Highlands wearing, of course, kilts. Since it is an adventure book they have also opted for hiking boots, a leather jacket, and scarves. They have also created a television series called Men in Kilts which is set to be released on Starz in the near future. Based on the teaser trailer for the show it seems the men get up to some wild adventures including battle cries, tandem bike riding and exploring Scotland on land and sea. Though the book will be released before the show it will be a great way to start getting excited for the new series.
