Claire and Jenny search for Jamie in Outlander Book 1, Chapter 33

We’re getting much closer to the end of the first Outlander book, which means those traumatic moments. They’re not going to be easy to read.

Before we get to those moments, we get to see Claire and Jenny working together to find Jamie. In Outlander Book 1, Chapter 33, Jamie is taken by The Watch. It’s up to his wife and sister to start the legwork to figure out where he is.

This is a hugely important chapter that sets up the events for the rest of the book. It’s also one that leads to conversations involving previous chapters. There’s not much in the way of foreshadowing in it’s specific sense, but there is plenty to set up the events of the future, and we’ll get into them.

However, this is a chapter that the show included but adapted considerably. Why would they do such a thing? There are a few reasons at the top of my mind, and I’ll get into those reasons during the section of the breakdown.

This is the last chapter of Part Five in the first Outlander book. It’s also a chapter that is on the average length, coming in at about 45 minutes on Audible.

With all that in mind, we’ll get into the breakdown for Outlander Book 1, Chapter 33.
