When will Outlander Season 5 come to Netflix Canada?

A potential date for Outlander Season 5 to head to Netflix Canada

Now that Outlander Season 5 has finished airing, we’re heading into a long Droughtlander. You likely want to rewatch all the seasons from start to finish. So, when can you watch Outlander Season 5 on Netflix Canada?

It’s going to take some time for the full season to be added. The show airs on W Network in Canada, and right now, you can watch through Stack TV. This is available through Amazon Channels if you want to check out the season right away. Eventually, it will likely be added to Netflix Canada unless there’s been a new deal change—I’m waiting for it to head to STARZ through Crave.

Previous seasons have been added eight to nine months after the final episode aired on W Network. We can suspect something similar happening here. It’s possible that Outlander Season 5 will be on Netflix Canada between January 2021 and February 2021.

Of course, this isn’t a set date just yet. We’ll have to wait for Netflix Canada to confirm with the listings and we likely won’t find out until the month before the release of the season.

The DVD and Blu-ray release is likely to happen first. Same with the Digital release. Sony will want to make as much money through these as possible before making content free to stream.

Then there’s the fact that W Network has the licensing rights. The content is available on Slack TV and won’t be available on Netflix until the time limit on Global’s (it owns W Network) streaming service has run out.

Update Dec. 16: Outlander Season 5 is coming to Netflix Canada in January 2021.
