Outlander Season 5, Episode 11 was certainly an emotional episode. It was beautifully written, but certainly left us with many questions by the end.

I like to gather all the questions and combine them into big questions. I don't always have an answer (and we don't always get one) but it's fun to break out the theories.

As with previous posts like this, I'm keeping this as book spoiler-free as possible. That's getting so much easier with changes to storylines and the combination of books. For me, it's exciting! Where will the writers go next?

Moving onto the purpose of this post. Here are my five big questions after watching Outlander Season 5, Episode 11.

5. Is that it for Lord John Grey and Ulysses?

Lord John Grey said that he was off to England. Lord Dunsaney had died and it was time for Willie to run the estate. That means Lord John Grey is needed. And while he never thought he would end up in the Colonies, he has found a peace there; possibly through his friendships with both Jamie and Brianna.

However, Lord John Grey's exit felt somewhat final. It's like the show was giving us a goodbye for both him and Ulysses. In the books, we know there's more to come for LJG, but is this really going to be it for the show? It's a huge diversion, which makes things extremely interesting in the future.

It certainly looks like this is the end, though. At least, for now.

4. How long will it take to find Claire?

Okay, so this question comes more from the promo for the next episode. We get a glimpse of Young Ian with the war paint, which suggests that Claire is going to be held by her captives for some time. However, it's possible that the attack at the surgery took place weeks after Brianna and Roger originally left. This would allow Young Ian (and possibly others) time to get back to the Ridge.

Hopefully, it doesn't take weeks to find Claire. After all, Jamie should know who took her. Marsali would be able to share everything she saw, which included the man in the red coat. It would be hard to put all the pieces together and realize Lionel Brown has ordered the kidnapping of Claire.

3. How many will join Jamie to find Claire?

Jamie lit the Fiery Cross. He made it clear in the Outlander Season 5 premiere that this meant war. He would only light it in a time of war. And that war he will fight is for his love.

So, how many will hold true to their oaths? Who will show up to help find Claire? Considering the oaths that were made, there will likely be a fair few who turn up. After all, they promised to follow Jamie, who is for all intents and purposes right now their laird. Most are Highlanders and will take their oaths seriously.

2. Is Marsali's unborn baby going to be okay?

Marsali was knocked to the floor and unconscious for a long time. There was a little fear when Germain said that his mom wouldn't wake up, but fortunately, she was just out cold. Fergus realized immediately that she was breathing.

However, that was one hell of a knock. What does this mean for Marsali's unborn child? After all, she commented in the forest that she's pregnant again—and remember there were season changes so it's not right after the birth of Felicite!

This is possibly a storyline we'll see from the books, but I won't go into it. However, will the show opt to change the storyline a little? Could we see Marsali suffer a miscarriage after that hit before having her fourth child?

1. Where did Brianna, Roger, and Jemmy end up?

While there is a lot of focus on the attack on Claire, we have to touch on the ending for Brianna, Roger, and Jemmy. The three went through the stones, but it's clear they're not where they expected to be. They're looking at something they didn't think they'd see.

More importantly, Jemmy was smiling and waving at someone he recognized. Is it possible that they only traveled a few minutes into the future? Could they still be in the past and Jemmy is running to Young Ian?

Bree and Roger aren't spotted anywhere in the Outlander Season 5 finale promo, but that doesn't mean they're not in it. Hopefully, we'll quickly get some answers!
