Happy birthday, Sam Heughan: Thank you for everything you do!
It’s Sam Heughan’s 40th birthday today. We just want to take this time to thank our Outlander star for everything he does on and off the show.
On April 30, 1980, Sam Heughan was born. He turns 40 today, and we want to take this time to thank him for everything that he does.
Without Sam, we wouldn’t have the Outlander we do today. While even Diana Gabaldon didn’t see Jamie in him at first, he’s become the King of Men. There’s no way that we could imagine anyone else take on the role now.
But it’s not just about Sam Heughan as Jamie on Outlander. Our star is a sweet soul, offering support and encouragement to many around the world.
Recently, he has had to call out trolls and bullies online, and not just for himself. There’s an awful side to the Outlander fandom (like every fandom out there) and he and the cast have managed to ignore it for so long. However, Sam decided enough was enough. Not only did he stand up for himself but he stood up for everyone else who has faced the bullying from so-called fans.
I don’t want to dwell on the negatives, though. There’s a lot of good that has happened because of Sam Heughan. One of those is My Peak Challenge.
This is a man who is passionate about health an fitness, but he’s not in it for himself. He wants to help others be better versions of themselves; support them through their personal challenges. If you haven’t signed up for My Peak Challenge, you’ll want to. You don’t need to lose weight if that’s not a goal. There are a lot of other personal goals in the health and fitness niche, and that’s something Sam encourages people to follow.
Then there’s the support for Scotland. His country is one that he’s proud of and passionate about. We can’t wait for The Clan Lands, which is a podcast-turned-TV series that he’s done with Graham McTavish. He’s bringing Scotland to us so we get to learn more about her history, her beauty, and so much more.
Of course, there’s always time for Outlander, but Sam is building businesses, creating a supportive network, and standing up for causes he believes in. Thank you, Sam, for everything that you do!
Happy birthday, Sam Heughan!
