Roger, Jamie, and Young Ian try to set a trap for Stephen Bonnet, but things don’t go to plan. Here’s a recap of the events from Outlander Season 5, Episode 10.

Just as you thought the show had forgotten about Brianna, we got another outstanding episode for the character. She comes face-to-face with an old foe, but what exactly happens on Outlander Season 5, Episode 10?

It all starts with everyone in Wilmington. Stephen Bonnet and Gerald Forbes meet in a brothel (because that really does seem like the best place to do Bonnet’s type of business) where they’re discussing the petition Forbes is working on getting signed. Everything is likely to go well, and Jemmy should be with Bonnet before they know it.

However, Jamie still has his plan in motion to take Bonnet down. He, Roger, and Young Ian (pretending to be Alexander Malcolm) try to set up a trap. Things don’t go to plan, as Bonnet’s men are the ones that turn up.

Bonnet, meanwhile, has spotted Claire and immediately recognizes her and Brianna. He knocks Claire out and takes Brianna to an unknown location.

Forbes pays a visit to Jocasta

One small storyline in the episode to touch on quickly is that of Forbes and Jocasta. She invites him over to draft up a new will of sorts. She wants to make sure that Marsali and Fergus, young Germain, Joan, and Felicite, and Bree and Roger are looked after when she dies.

This does mean some money comes out of the estate left to Jemmy. It angers Forbes, who is relying on 20% of the profit that Bonnet gains. Taking away some of Jemmy’s inheritance means that Forbes will gain less, and he’s still angry that Brianna and Jocasta embarrassed him.

Instead of drawing up the will, Forbes puts a pillow over Jocasta’s face. As Jocasta tries to fight back, she knocks the bell over so Ulysses rushes in and grabs Forbes, snapping his neck and killing him.

For a second, it looks like Jocasta has been killed, but she opens her eyes. It’s clear just from this that Jocasta is more than just Ulysses’s owner, but this isn’t a storyline the show has delved into just yet. Is it a hint that we’ll get some of this in Outlander Season 6?
