5 shows to watch with your STARZ App while waiting for more Outlander Season 5

2. American Gods

Not all STARZ shows are female-led, but a lot are. Some of the shows are focused on great fictional works, and that’s the case for American Gods. The third season will be on its way at some point with Outlander‘s Anne Kenney joining the writing team.

Ricky Whittle stars as Shadow Moon and Ian McShane is Mr. Wednesday. Shadow is just out of prison, gaining early release due to his wife’s death. Mr. Wednesday offers him a job, and you just know that there’s more to this man than initially meets the eye.

We’re taken on a journey of the Old Gods and the New Gods. Which side of this growing war are you on and what’s the Leprechaun’s secret? Also, how is Shadow’s wife back from the dead?

1. The White Queen

Finally, it’s all about the BBC miniseries The White Queen. Based on three novels by Philippa Gregory, “The White Queen,” “The Red Queen,” and “The Kingmaker’s Daughter,” the story is of three women who all want some sort of power while protecting their families. Elizabeth Woodville wants to keep her husband on the throne and protect her children, while Margaret Tudor believes her son is destined to become the next King of England. Then there’s Anne Neville, who believes that her husband, Richard, should be king.

Once you’ve finished The White Queen, you’re going to want to move onto The White Princess. This follows the journey of Margaret and Elizabeth’s children, Henry Tudor and Elizabeth of York. After that, you can follow The Spanish Princess, which is based on Catherine of Aragon, Henry and Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law.

There are more episodes of The Spanish Princess to come to continue Catherine’s story. There may be more in this miniseries franchise since there are many more Gregory novels to adapt. For now, you’ve got one season of all three series to watch.
