Brianna is terrified that something is going to happen to Jemmy on Outlander Season 5. In a short video, Sophie Skelton explains why.

Brianna certainly worries that Stephen Bonnet is going to show up on Outlander Season 5. This isn’t just a fear because of what happened to her. There’s something else she feels deep down, and this is something Sophie Skelton explains in a short video.

The fears started when Bree found out that Bonnet is still alive. For months, she’d believed that Bonnet had perished in the jail fire (very different to “Drums of Autumn”) and then suddenly learned that he had survived. More than that, but he was doing well for himself since escaping. Now she worries that he could come for Jemmy.

Why would Bonnet want to come for Jemmy? This is a man who believes that Jemmy is his son. Since Outlander Season 5, Episode 6’s ending, there’s an even bigger reason to get access to Jemmy. This could open up financial options for Bonnet that he’d never considered before.

But regardless, Bree fears Bonnet because of the events in the jail cell. Something that Skelton explains is that Bree got a feeling that Bonnet is invested in Jemmy’s future. He gave Bree a gem for Jemmy, as maintenance for the child. This wasn’t just because he thought Jemmy would never know him but that he wanted to do something for the kid before his death.

Now that Bonnet isn’t dead, he’ll want the “maintenance” back and will want to get his hands on Jemmy. At least, that’s something Bree fears, and she doesn’t even know how much Bonnet knows about Jemmy. Her maternal instinct is to protect her son, and that’s exactly what she’s going to do.
