5 best moments from Outlander Season 5, Episode 6
2. The scene with Lord John Grey
I adore Lord John Grey. Maybe it has a lot to do with the fact that I love David Berry. However, I do love the scenes with Lord John Grey and always look forward to the little we see of him. In Outlander Season 5, Episode 6, there’s something small in the episode that really stood out to me.
Not only did he act friendly towards Jamie, but there was no tension between him and Claire. We know that they didn’t get on at first, jealous of each other because of their love for Jamie, but their conversation when Lord John Grey had the measles helped them to understand each other. Claire was extremely pleasant and friendly to him. I just love how much their relationship has developed on the series and it shows in this scene.
1. Roger gaining respect from the Ridge
Finally, it’s over to Fraser’s Ridge. While I have my complaints about Brianna, this was an important moment for Roger. It’s not that he figured out how to deal with the locusts, but that it lead to him gaining respect from the people at the Ridge.
They were ready to burn Jamie’s crops and leave the family without food. However, Roger stopped them from acting out of panic. He found the solution everyone needed.
At the end, the people who had been ready to burn the crops showed their gratitude towards Roger. It’s a boost to Roger’s confidence, something he’s needed from the beginning of the season.
