4. Getting a hint of the Bonnet threat

At the very end of the episode, we got to see Bonnet again. For a TV series, we need to see the events and not just hear about them in passing. I appreciate seeing Bonnet show up now and then. We get that sense that he’s just around the corner.

Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 certainly gave us that feeling. He knows that Jemmy is the owner of River Run, and he believes that Jemmy is his own child. This puts a huge bounty on his head. Is Jemmy safe? Will Brianna and Roger be safe?

3. Governor Tryon’s orders

Okay, so hearing that they were going to war isn’t a good thing. However, it’s been something we’ve expected. Even if you didn’t read the books, you should know some of your American history.

What I loved about this moment on Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 was seeing Jamie’s reaction. Tryon is doing something that he believes is right for the Crown. Jamie, meanwhile, is caught between the two sides. We got that sense of worry.

Jamie knows that the Regulators aren’t as organized as the British Army. To him, it’s a repeat of Culloden. He remembers what it was like trying to organize a rebellion and he knows the risk to Murtagh.
