We all had questions about Outlander Season 5, Episode 6. Jamie wanted Claire’s ring from Frank, and naturally, we needed to know why. It was all explained in the episode.
As I go through my three favorite Jamie moments, I will admit that his moment in the stables with Claire at the end will not show up. Well, not the one moment you think should. That’s a Claire and Jamie moment, and more to come about that this week.
Instead, these are strong Jamie moments. Here are my three favorite ones.
3. Admitting that it’s not about Bree
It takes a man to admit that revenge isn’t for the people he loves. While he wants to defend Brianna’s honor, he has also been personally offended and attacked by Bonnet. Jamie wants revenge for himself.
At the very end of the episode, Jamie admits that to Claire. He wants to make sure Bonnet is dealt with for good, and that means killing him.

2. Pretending to view Governor Tryon with respect
Oh, Jamie does not like Governor Tryon. The narcissistic governor was brimming with pride that he took some inventive steps to deal with the Regulators. Jamie just had to agree that they were great steps to take.
You could see the way Jamie has no respect for this man. He just has to continue playing this game to protect his family. He does what must be done for now, but you know he’s going to be on the right side of history the minute he gets a chance.
1. His fear for Murtagh
Governor Tryon has bad news. There’s going to be a war after all. Of course, Tryon believes it will be an easy war. After all, the British Army is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, in the world.
That’s something Jamie clearly worries about. You can see the fear and concern for Murtagh in his eyes, even if he doesn’t mention his godfather by name. The Regulators won’t be as organized at the British Army, and that puts them at risk.
