After just offering to pardon the Regulators, it looks like Governor Tryon is going to have to send the militia to war. There’s always a calm before the storm, right? Here’s a look at the Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 synopsis to get an idea of what to expect.

There isn’t anything about Claire, Roger, or Brianna in the synopsis once more. It’s all about Jamie and the threat of the war that’s to come. However, the promo offers a look at the other characters, and we even get to see Adso again.

In the Outlander Season 5, Episode 6 synopsis, we find out that the Regulator Rebellion has reached “a boiling point.” Tryon needs to curb it immediately, as it seems pardoning hasn’t done the trick. Well, he did offer to pardon all but Murtagh. Of course, they were going to rally behind the leader.

I also get the sense that Tryon wouldn’t have gone through with the pardon after all. With Knox’s death, there’s likely a feeling that Knox was talking to a Regulator. Remember that a boy dropped off the list of prisoners from Ardsmuir. He would have seen Knox in the room with someone, and it wouldn’t take too much to figure out that whoever Knox was did killed him and made it look like an accident.

Does Tryon think Jamie had something to do with it? Just how much does Tryon know about Jamie’s past? That’s certainly going to be interesting to find out, especially as Jamie continues to walk between the two fires.

Right now, he’s going to have not choice but to confront his divided loyalties. He will need to figure out which side he is going to be on.
