Outlander Season 5, Episode 3 wasn’t an easy episode to watch, but it did deliver some excellent moments. Here are my favorite Jamie moments from Free Will.

Outlander delivered its creepiest and darkest episode in the series so far. Pretty much the same as in the books, Outlander Season 5, Episode 3 allowed the story time to breathe. And there were some excellent moments that came out of it.

Jamie had some standout moments, whether it involved his honor or his love for his family. To look back on the episode, I’m taking the time to look back at Jamie’s best moments.

5. Telling Claire about Bonnet

Jamie could have kept news of Bonnet to himself. Considering the latest came in the form of a letter from Lord John Grey, there would have been no need for Claire to find out. However, he made a choice to tell her. After all, he knows what a Bonnet-sized secret led to the first time.

I love that the two have got to this point again in their relationship. They can still have their secrets but they will tell no lies. That was always the promise that they made to one another, but it was like they lost sight of that for a while. And after 20 years apart and different responsibilities, I can understand that.

We’re back to the Claire and Jamie we once knew. This episode, and this moment, made that clear.
