25 best Claire and Jamie moments on Outlander: Working together to come to a decision

There were some excellent moments throughout the Outlander Season 5 premiere. One of those makes the list of best Claire and Jamie moments ever.

The Outlander Season 5 premiere was full of wonderful moments. Some of those will be remembered fondly, but one has made it to the list of the best Claire and Jamie moments on the series so far. It’s all about them working together to come to a decision.

I know that some will question why this even makes it to the list. It does sound like an odd choice, especially when there are so many wonderfully romantic moments throughout the series. But hear me out on this one.

For the last couple of seasons, Claire and Jamie haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye. They’ve struggled to come together after 20 years apart. And I can completely take myself out of my situation and put myself in their shoes. It couldn’t have been easy to find a rhythm again. But by the mid-point of Outlander Season 4, they started to find it.

Now in Season 5, they’re stronger than ever. Something I’ve always loved about Outlander is the way the two will work as a team. It’s why the theater scene made it to my list of best moments last season, and it’s why this one belongs on the list.

Claire and Jamie are stronger when they’re together. They’re partners, listening to each other’s concerns, raising possible situations, and then coming to an agreement on the next steps to take. After the wedding celebrations were over and done with, Governor Tryon made it clear to Jamie that it was time to follow the orders fully. Who did Jamie turn to for help to decide what to do? Claire, of course!

He listened to Claire, thought about his own needs, and then made a decision. Claire didn’t argue with that decision. She stood by him, knowing he was doing the right thing for his family. This is the Claire and Jamie I love the most, so this moment belongs on the list.
