Outlander: Coming up on Season 5 [Video]
We’ve only just got started with Outlander Season 5. We have 11 more episodes packed with drama, horrors, and war. Here’s a look at the things to come.
Droughtlander is over and we have another 11 episodes of the story coming soon. STARZ has released a promo for events coming up in Outlander Season 5.
This promo is on top of the one for Outlander Season 5, Episode 2. Rather than just focusing on the events in the Feb. 23 episode, it gives us a look at events coming up throughout the season. Certainly, there are some events from just Sunday’s episode, but there are hints of things to come further down the line.
There are a few moments that stand out in this promo, including when Hamilton Knox tells Jamie to be prepared for war. The Regulators have built and army. We haven’t heard of that just yet, even when Jamie was talking to Murtagh at the end of the premiere, so that means this is coming up in the next few episodes.
A lot of “The Fiery Cross” in the beginning is focused on the talk of the Regulators and the militia. We knew the building of the militia is coming up, which is likely to start in the next episode or two. After all, there’s a lot afterward to cover so the show can’t spend too much time on it.
Roger is part of the militia as Jamie’s captain. This is a position to make sure Jamie can keep his son-in-law safe, but it also means more to Roger. It shows that Jamie actually likes the guy and wants him around. They two are going to spend plenty of time together getting to know one another more, so Roger is going to have to live up to his “I won’t let you down” comment.
Of course, there’s also Claire’s story. She needs to keep the people at the Ridge safe from illnesses. She needs to keep her family safe. However, not only is she dealing with infectious diseases that have vaccines and cures in the future, she’s dealing with bad medical advice when it comes to the cures.
Towards the end, there’s a moment that looks like Roger is going to come face-to-face with Murtagh. He warns who seems to be Murtagh that “[he] cannot win.” This is someone who knows that Roger is from the future because Roger mentions how the history has already been written. There’s no way Roger would say that to someone without that secret knowledge.
This is set to be an exciting and dramatic season. Who’s ready for more?
