2. Her look at the kilt

When Jamie realizes that he needs to give Governor Tryon a Scot, Jamie pulls out his kilt and puts it on. We have this look between Claire and Jamie, one that makes it clear that they are both on the same page.

However, Claire also has this sad look. There’s a sadness for the things that need to come, what putting on the kilt means, and also the time that was lost. She’ll think back to how Jamie wasn’t allowed to wear his kilt in Scotland because of Culloden, remembering the 20 years that they’d spent apart.

1. With Brianna before the wedding

Finally, it has to be the opening moment for Clarie and Brianna in the Outlander Season 5 premiere. We get a chance to see Claire finish up some touches on Brianna’s dress, but it’s more about getting this heart to heart between mother and daughter.

Seeing Brianna get married was something Claire never expected to happen. There’s an emotion to the day, with the love there’s a bittersweetness to it. This wedding means the world to Claire, and she just wants the best for her daughter.
