Outlander Season 5 sneak peek of Brianna and Roger’s wedding

It’s Outlander week on Good Morning America. During Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin’s interview, fans were treated to a Season 5 wedding sneak peek.

We all know Brianna and Roger are getting married in the Outlander Season 5 premiere. This hasn’t been a closely guarded secret since the first images of the season were released, but it doesn’t make it any the less exciting. Now we get a sneak peek of the wedding.

The clip came during Good Morning America‘s interview with Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin on Feb. 12. The couple may be in the 18th century and going through many of the 18th-century expectations, but they’re keeping some of their 20th-century ways. One of those involves the cake at their wedding.

During the sneak peek, the two are cutting the cake. It’s a tradition for Brianna’s time, but the two certainly like to joke with each other. Roger thinks that feeding him cake was just to shut him up. Of course, a wife should never contradict her husband…

It’s an adorable sneak peek, showing just where the two are in their relationship. They’re comfortable with each other, far more comfortable than they’ve been for the last two seasons. The 18th century way of life seems to suit them both well for the sake of their relationship, but don’t expect things to be all that easy.

We know that Roger struggles with being in the past. He’s a scholar without the ability to farm land, ride a horse well, or even shoot a gun. He needs to find his place in the world, while Brianna seems to be able to handle the 18th century way of life perfectly fine.

Of course, there are other problems that show up, too. There’s the militia, the threats of Stephen Bonnet, and more. This is certainly a season to get excited about.
