Outlander Season 5: Fergus and Marsali look beautifully in love

One of the promo pictures released for Outlander Season 5 over the weekend was all about Fergus and Marsali. Just how beautifully in love do they look?

STARZ may be focused on individual promos for the main characters (with Claire coming up this week), but there are still some photos of other characters that play important roles in Outlander Season 5. Fergus and Marsali are two of those characters, with a promo photo released to show just how much they love each other.

During the fourth season, the two attempted to make a life for themselves in Wilmington. However, nobody wanted to hire Fergus due to his disability and he was struggling mentally because of that. After breaking Murtagh out of jail, Marsali made the decision for them that it was time to head to the Ridge.

And that’s where we find them in Outlander Season 5. It looks like this decision has been worth it. The two are happier than ever, with their family growing.

Right now, it’s not all that clear how many children the two will have. In the books, at this point, they have two–Germain and baby Joan. Could they have Joan already by the time Season 5 begins or will we see Marsali pregnant with her? It’s not something that’s been raised in promotional material or interviews, so it will be exciting to see where the two are in this growing family they gain.

More importantly, we’ll get to see the two work as a partnership and see the two interact with others on the Ridge. I’m especially excited to see Marsali and Brianna share some screentime because I think they could be the best of friends, even though Marsali doesn’t know anything about Claire, Bree, and Roger being time travelers.

One thing I do love seeing is that Fergus and Marsali are happily in love. I’m excited to see what this season will bring for the two of them.
