Outlander Season 5 mini-teaser focuses on Fraser’s Ridge
We know how important Fraser’s Ridge is to the Outlander story from the books, but STARZ offers a Season 5 mini-teaser to let everyone know.
Those who have read the books, even only just getting to “The Fiery Cross,” know how important Fraser’s Ridge is. This is more than just a home to Claire and Jamie. If you haven’t read the books, STARZ offers an Outlander Season 5 mini-teaser to bring the point home.
The land started as a home for Claire and Jamie. Young Ian was also there to help with the development and would have likely stayed had it not been for the situation with Roger and the Mohawks. However, throughout Season 5, things change. It’s more than just a home but a community.
One of our latest mini-teasers shows just why it’s so important. Claire and Murtagh bring the point home as to why this is so important. In fact, Murtagh is the one telling Jamie why Fraser’s Ridge and his family is so important, suggesting that Murtagh understands why Jamie has to follow the orders from Governor Tryon.

Something the mini-teaser for Outlander Season 5 seems to suggest is that some of the voiceovers are back. As Claire speaks, it’s reminiscent of the voiceover she offered throughout earlier seasons. This was missing for most of Season 4 but was included at the very beginning. It’s possible that the voiceover will be used for the premiere episode and then avoided for the rest, as the showrunners want to move into a “showing not telling” situation for the series.
Claire’s voiceovers were used to fill in the blanks. It’s time to move into the show being able to offer the story without that, especially as the story moves onto other members of the Fraser/MacKenzie family.
Whatever you think of the voiceovers, though, you’ll be happy to hear that there is a focus on Fraser’s Ridge and the growth. It’s time to see why this place is important enough for Jamie to wear a Redcoat uniform.
