Outlander Season 5 promo: Brianna stands for destiny

After focusing on Roger, STARZ has moved onto Brianna for the Outlander Season 5 promotion. In this strong poster, she stands for destiny.

With weeks to go before Outlander Season 5, STARZ is focusing on individual characters. First it was Roger, and now it’s Brianna. You can bet that Claire, Jamie, and possibly Murtagh will come soon! But right now, the Outlander Season 5 promotion is all about the daughter of Claire and Jamie Fraser.

Brianna stands for destiny in the promo. And it’s certainly a strong stance. She looks ready to take on the 18th century, despite everything that it doesn’t offer her in the way of freedoms that she would have had in the 1970s. She has to make do with the feeling of being a second class citizen just because she’s a woman, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to let everyone get away with treating her that way.

In fact, Brianna is the one who can help provide for her growing family. While Roger struggles with a place in the 18th century, Brianna has effectively been raised for this thanks to Frank. She’s taught her how to shoot and helped her learn to hunt. While at the time she had no idea why her dad was teaching her this stuff, she’s certainly seeing the value of it now.

Brianna will have a strong storyline this season, focusing on her PTSD after Bonnet and managing life with a family. This is a woman who clearly wanted a career and some sort of freedom when she lived in the 1970s. After everything that’s happened in the 18th century, she’s found herself focused on love and family, and she’s ready to make a home with Roger.

There will be some intimacy issues, which is to be expected with everything that Bonnet did. However, if anyone can get through them, Brianna can.
