Latest Outlander Season 5 promo for Roger will send shivers down your spine

STARZ continues its promotion of Outlander ready for Season 5. More importantly, it continues its Roger promos, and the latest will give you goosebumps.

STARZ has really boosted its Outlander promotion lately, getting fans ready for Season 5. The focus for much of this week has been on Roger, and that’s the case for the latest promotional footage.

It’s just a short Twitter clip, giving you a sense of everything Roger has been through and why he’s still in the past. It’s a reminder of his loyalty to and love for Brianna. However, there’s someone else now important in his life, and it’s that part that will send shivers down your spine.

We’re initially reminded of the journey Roger took in Outlander Season 4. We see him separate from Brianna, head to the past for her, reunite and marry her, and then leave her. There’s a reminder of the trials he faced when sold to the Mohawks and the promise he made to himself to get back to Brianna.

At the end of the clip, we move onto words that clearly come from Outlander Season 5. “Jeremiah Alexander Ian Fraser MacKenzie,” he starts off the clip. He is speaking to his son, making it clear that despite everything that happened and the possibility that this boy isn’t biologically his, Roger is claiming him as his own.

It’s the first time non-book readers will have heard the full name given to Jemmy. I can’t recall it being used in any other promotional material (although, I’ll admit that I knew it anyway so haven’t been looking out for it). There is a meaning behind a couple of those names, particularly Ian.
