Outlander Season 5 photo gives all the Fraser adults on the Ridge

The Fraser adults living on the Ridge are all in attendance in the latest Outlander Season 5 promotion. Here’s what we love about the image.

When it’s come to the majority of the Outlander Season 5 promotional photos, the focus has mostly been on Claire, Jamie, Brianna, and Roger. And while they are all major parts of the story, there are two Fraser adults on the Ridge commonly missed out. This is where the latest image changes things.

During the winter TCAs, Outlander brought more promotional material. It’s a huge change to the lead up to Season 4, where sometimes it was hard to remember that the show was even coming back to STARZ! Season 5 is not to be missed, and this latest promo photo proves that.

All six Fraser adults currently living on the Ridge are in attendance in the image. Claire and Jamie stand in the middle, proud parents to the two couples flanking them. And yes, they are parents to both.

Fergus was adopted by Jamie, with that made official when Fergus married Marsali. And we know that Marsali has called Jamie “Daddy,” even though he’s her stepfather (and not even that when you consider his marriage to Marsali was void). She views him as a father figure, and he is more than happy to step up to that challenge.

It’s not often the two are included in promotional material. However, they are important parts of the story moving forward as everyone is now at the Ridge. Fergus will help Jamie build the militia, while we will hopefully see some of Marsali bonding with Brianna and further bonding with Claire.

Then there’s Claire and Jamie’s biological child on the other side. Brianna stands confident, with her husband, Roger, sitting next to her. It’s not clear why Roger is the only one sitting, but it doesn’t take too much from the image. We see Brianna with her arm around Roger, marking that they are making things work.

Brianna is certainly channeling her mother with her clothing. The outfit looks extremely similar to the look Claire has been sporting for some of the scenes that seem to involve the militia. It makes sense that she’d follow her mom’s lead in the New World since they are both from the same time.

In the background, we can see the Big House. This is another major part of the books that we’re all waiting to see come into the series. The last we saw, Claire and Jamie only had the small cabin, but that’s too small for the entire family as it grows. Fergus and Marsali will need a place of their own, while Brianna and Roger move into the cabin (which we know for the Outlander Season 5 sneak peek). So that means Claire and Jamie need to build a house of their own, and Jamie isn’t thinking small!
