4. Lord John Grey and Brianna

Let’s start with one from Outlander Season 4. It’s all about Lord John Grey and Brianna, who formed an unlikely alliance in the fourth season following Brianna’s threat to expose John for his sexuality. It would have been a death sentence for John, but he was quick to call her bluff. Of course, she couldn’t go through with it.

In the end, they entered an engagement of convenience. We always knew that Roger would return to Bree, so there was never a real relationship between the two. However, John certainly helped Brianna out and they formed a beautiful friendship over the episodes.

3. Claire and Mother Hildegarde

In Outlander Season 2, Claire formed a friendship with three new characters. The best of the three friendships was with Mother Hildegarde. Claire wanted to do something useful with her time and she was more than willing to go through Mother Hildegarde’s tests to prove that she was a good nurse.

Throughout Claire’s time in France, she turned to Mother Hildegarde for advice and opened up about various situations. More importantly, Mother Hildegarde was willing to risk arrest and even execution by baptizing Faith, despite her being stillborn, just so that she could be buried in hallowed ground.
