STARZ’s official description of Outlander Season 5

With just a little more than a month away from Outlander Season 5, it’s time to look at the official description of the season released by STARZ.

This time next month, we will be counting down the final days to Outlander Season 5. In fact, there will be less than a week to go. So, for now, let’s get ready by looking at the official description of the season released by STARZ.

The description comes with a few spoilery tidbits for those who haven’t read the books. Of course, most of these spoilery bits are either directly from “The Fiery Cross” or they’ve been mentioned before.

Season 5’s description starts with the reminder that the family is home on Fraser’s Ridge. We know that while Season 4 gave them the chance to find a place to call home, it was going to be in Season 5 that it would officially become home. The Big House is on its way, many family members are around, and there are new tenants on the lands. However, there’s also trouble brewing.

The description next moves onto Jamie, as he gets ready to defend everything that he’s managed to gain in the Colonies. It’s not going to be easy, as he needs to hunt and kill a man he calls family. It sounds like Governor Tryon has no idea that Murtagh and Jamie have a connection. Will Lord John Grey accidentally let that slip?

Meanwhile, Claire will grow her surgery, as she helps as many people as possible. It’s something that Brianna questions in the Outlander Season 5 trailer, as it does seem like Claire is playing God. But she wants to protect the people, while also preventing her family from being ripped apart.

Finally, the Outlander Season 5 description touches on Brianna and Roger, who are now together. In fact, the premiere will see them get married. Yet, things aren’t quite smooth sailing for the two of them. This is where the spoilery tidbit really comes in. If you didn’t know already, Stephen Bonnet did make it out of Season 4 alive and is a threat this season.

In a way, we’re learning nothing more. But as we’re still in Droughtlander, we’re willing to take everything we can to get ready for the season, right?
