Could Outlander Season 5 focus on Roger’s eyesight problems?

There’s a discussion about Roger’s eyesight in The Fiery Cross. Will that be included or skipped in Outlander Season 5? What would be the best option?

“The Fiery Cross” includes a lot more about the family unit together, especially Roger getting used to the world of the 18th century. There’s a part that touches on his eyesight, which affects his ability to hunt. Could this be included in Outlander Season 5 or will it be one of the sections skipped?

During the novel, Brianna teaches Roger how to shoot. It’s after this that he has his eyes examined by Claire. While she’s not an optometrist, she is able to do a brief examine on his eyes and use some knowledge to figure out his eyesight problems.

Don’t worry; he’s not going blind! He has monocular vision, which means both his eyes don’t work together. While it doesn’t affect his ability to shoot non-moving targets, it causes problems for moving targets. But he can close an eye and shoot that way.

But will it be included in Outlander Season 5? Some parts of the story will need to be skipped, and this could be one of those moments. There’s no real need for the moment to be included except to add another complication to Roger fitting into the 18th century. In a way, it seems just more bother for him, when there are so many other storylines to add in for all the other characters.

My gut tells me that this will be something skipped. Or it may be briefly mentioned and saved for a later season to get into more. Of course, that assumes the show will be renewed after Season 6. Talks are probably going to start soon, if they haven’t already.
