The Outlander Season 5 official trailer is finally here. It’s time to look at the story to come, and this trailer is bound to leave you goosebumps.
The Outlander Season 5 trailer is now here. STARZ has brought us two-minutes-and-20-seconds of spine-tingling excitement. Whether you love Claire and Jamie, you’re excited to see more Brianna and Roger, or you want to see the war to come, it’s all included in this trailer.
There’s certainly plenty to break down. I’ll be back at the start of next week with the major moments to take away from this promo, but there are a few that stand out. One of those is that it looks like Jamie wants to prevent the battle that’s going to happen.
Even if you haven’t ready “The Fiery Cross,” you’ll know from U.S. history that the Battle of Alamance is coming. This is one of the bigger battles at the start of the Revolutionary War; one that is viewed as a battle that started the entire war. As Brianna says, without it, there’s a chance that America will never become what it is.
So, while Jamie wants to stop it, there are a lot of reasons not to. This isn’t like trying to stop Culloden to prevent the destruction of Scotland’s clans and ways. This is about seeing history through but ending up on the right side of it. And there’s a moment that gives us Jamie in a red coat. Yes, he’s a Redcoat for a short while because he simply has to be! But it doesn’t look right!
Meanwhile, we get moments of Claire, Roger, and Brianna. There are moments of doubt for Roger, as he considers going back to the future and there’s a discussion of playing God, as Brianna questions Claire’s actions in the past. Most of all, there are some beautiful moments between Claire and Jamie, as it’s clear Outlander Season 5 is trying to pull back to many of the moments that made the first two seasons so spectacularly special.
I’ll leave you with the Outlander Season 5 official trailer. Are you ready to make an oath and stand for all?
