25 Days of MacBree-mas Day 25: Merry MacBree-mas!
Whatever holiday you’re celebrating this time of year (we know there are many), we want to wish you all a Merry MacBree-mas, Outlander fans!
Outlander fans will likely be celebrating one of the many holidays at this time of year. Our 25 Days of MacBree-mas comes to an end today, and rather than a piece specifically about Brianna and Roger, I just want to take time to wish you all a Merry MacBree-mas, whichever holiday you are celebrating.
Throughout the last 24 days, I’ve taken the time to focus on Brianna and Roger. In some cases, it’s been as them as a couple. In other cases, I’ve looked at them individually. Or I’ve looked at events that surround them that could be coming in Outlander Season 5.
Brianna and Roger are a growing importance in the series. Whether you want the show to move forward with their relationship or not (I know there are some who only watch for Claire and Jamie), the show is following the books in this respect. Bree and Roger become more important, another couple for fans to root for. Two more people to face the horrors of the past, while dealing with the knowledge of the future.
They offer us storylines that Claire and Jamie couldn’t due to the circumstances surrounding their relationship. We didn’t get to see Claire and Jamie as parents together, but we do get the chance to see Brianna and Roger as parents together. That’s something I’m looking forward to, as it completely changes their relationship.
While the two have already been through a harrowing ordeal, there are more ordeals to come. And it’s important to get to know the characters as well as possible before that. And that’s why MacBree-mas has been important for me to do.
This isn’t the end of my content about Brianna and Roger. While the show and books started with just Claire and Jamie (well, really, they started with Claire and Frank but moved onto Claire and Jamie), I love how they’ve developed just like life. And so, MacBree-mas may be over but Roger and Brianna content isn’t over!
So, whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, Yuletide, or one of the many other holidays that take place this time of year, Happy MacBree-mas to all!
